The plans call out for a 1/8" space so I used an 1/8" drill to set the spacing.

To ensure accurate alignment when drilling through thick stock, I pre-align the holes w/ the appropriate rivets and then cleco the parts together.

Parts inspecting yielded one damaged part - the center section bottom skin. I notified Van's and they sent a replacement w/o cost. I also had some extra bags of h/w and Van's said to just hang on to them.

The fuselage crates all cut up and ready for disposal. Now, where is that "friendly dumpster"? Seriously, I kinda which I had kept the crate and put in some shelves for temporarily storing parts. Oh well....

The fuselage kit arrives! Fortunately, the ABF receiving is about 20 minutes from work saving me the $$$ of delivery.
