Ok, so here's what I'm building. It's a Vans Aircraft RV-7A. The only difference between what is pictured above and what I'm building is that I'll have a wheel up-front (aka a nose dragger). After getting a ride from a fellow builder w/ a tip-up, I'm sold! You just can't beat the view. Sure, the sliders are cooler (both in looks and ground temperatures), but when I'm flying in this thing I want the best bang for the buck for visibility. I'm going with a Garmin stack for avionics, PS Engineering 8000B audio panel, Tru TrakDigiflight II autopilot, and Advanced Flight Systems primary flight display. The engine is a TMX IO-360-M1B from Teledyne Mattituck with AFP fuel injection, a Light Speed electronic ignition on the right, and mag on the left. The propeller is a Catto three blade composite and wood propeller.
